Union Centre Blvd DDI

TEC provided traffic signal design and lighting design services in association with Jacobs Engineering for a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) project. Our team designed a new mast arm signal at the intersection of I-75 SB Ramp and Union Center Blvd, and at the intersection of I-75 NB Ramp and Union Center Blvd. The traffic signal design included: General notes specific to traffic signal construction, including specifications on signal heads, etc., per ODOT and Butler County standards • Detailed construction drawings with specifications, general notes, quantities, details, materials, wiring diagram, and signal phasing plan • Signal timing plans with detailed timing for each ramp signal • Details regarding interconnect between ramp signals and any adjacent signals. TEC’s lighting design services included: preparation of construction plans to replace the existing lighting on Union Center Blvd • Decorative lighting plans for the bridge area • Stakeholder/utility coordination • Photometric analysis • Power service location and coordination • Stage 2 lighting design (details and specifications including foundations, conduits, wiring, control apparatus and equipment location) • Stage 3 lighting design (additional details including quantities, notes and final lighting details).
