Project type
Streetscape Design
Date
2010
Location
Village of Glendale, Ohio
TEC assisted the Village of Glendale in acquiring a transportation enhancement (TE) grant and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding through the OKI Regional Council of Governments for renovation of Glendale’s historic Village Square, a business district consisting of a variety of commercial and retail uses. TEC was responsible for project conceptualization, construction plan development, and cost estimates for the project, which consisted of new landscaped medians, expanded clay paver sidewalks, decorative lighting, signage, street furniture and fixtures. TEC assisted the village in evaluating value engineering proposals in quickly solving field issues during construction. During this project, TEC met with civic groups and other stakeholders to give presentations on the design and to solicit input on several aspects of the project (street furniture, etc.).
