Kellogg Avenue Gateway Project

Kellogg Avenue provides primary access to a vibrant entertainment hub along the riverfront, featuring attractions like the Riverbend Music Center and Belterra Park Gaming. In 2020, Anderson Township partnered with the City of Cincinnati to study the Kellogg Avenue corridor to expand on recommendations from the Ohio Riverfront Plan. As a subconsultant to McGill Smith Punshon, TEC was responsible for providing guidance on how technology could be used to enhance the corridor. Several types of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) were reviewed for feasibility. Our team looked at various uses for dynamic message signs, working with the Township, City, County and ODOT to ensure appropriate signage would be included for each agency. Another ITS application considered was parking management systems, which would be used to direct drivers to the available parking spots.
