TEC completed engineering services for an intersection reconfiguration project of SR 741 with Kings Mills Road and Parkside Drive in the City of Mason. The design involved SR 741 becoming the thru-movement, and the southern approach of Kings Mills Road intersecting SR 741 at a signal-controlled T-intersection. The project included a design exception to allow the compound horizontal curves to minimally impact adjacent property owners. Additionally, TEC prepared the street lighting design to city standards, and a multi-use path on the west side of SR 741. TEC began this project in the planning phase with a safety study and preliminary engineering design, assisted the City with a grant application, and was selected for full design.
