City of Hamilton SS4A Plan
Project type
Safety Study, Grant Assistance
Date
2024
Location
City of Hamilton, Ohio
TEC completed a Safe Streets for All Study in the City of Hamilton in order to supplement the City’s Active Transportation Plan. The goal of the study was to gather public input, provide a safety analysis, and develop recommendations for improvement. The completed SS4A Plan meets all requirements to ensure that Hamilton is eligible for federal funding opportunities. This project involved significant public engagement and collaboration, along with Task Force planning and communication. Following all data collection and analysis, coupled with public input, TEC developed “hot spot” recommendations using a prioritization process. This project was locally funded, but TEC subsequently applied and received funding from SS4A to complete the study and a demonstration project. In September 2024, USDOT awarded $9.4 million to the City of Hamilton for an SS4A Implementation grant. These funds will be used to implement the project recommendations identified in the Hamilton ACTS Plan.
