TEC was responsible for the development of an Interchange Modification Study for the State Route 48 and I-71 interchange in the City of South Lebanon. To determine the preferred alternative, multiple improvement alternatives were developed and analyzed to aid in the development of the most cost-effective and feasible solution. Capacity analysis (using HCS), signal warrant analysis, and storage lane analysis were used to develop the preferred alternative. Schematics of all the developed alternatives were also completed. TEC worked with ODOT to select the preferred alternative for recommendation and review by FHWA. A final report was prepared and accepted by ODOT.
